The United Way of Garrett County was recognized by USA Weekend magazine for their first Day of Caring and Sharing Day in 2003.  The event organized over 100 volunteers to help local agencies with a wide variety of projects, from cleaning to construction.  Pictured are Jeannette Fitzwater, Bob Stephens and Kelly Johnson, board members for the United Way of Garrett County with the award.
