The Garrett County United Way’s Food, Foolishness and Fun celebrity pasta dinner is set for Tuesday, March 31^st.  The pasta dinner, will include side dishes and premier desserts from some of Garrett County’s finest restaurants.  The “foolishness and fun” comes from having some of Garrett County’ s most respected community members dressed in costume and serving as waiters and waitresses.  Last year the event brought in over $5,200 for the Garrett County United Way campaign and an additional $1,200 for local affiliated agencies.  What makes this event special is that it benefits an assortment of community agencies that work together daily to make Garrett County a better place to live and visit.  Bob Stephens, one of the volunteers on the planning committee stated “Last year’s dinner was a huge success.  We raised funds for the local community and we also provided an opportunity for most of the non-profit agencies to work together and have fun promoting their services.  It was great to see volunteers from many different agencies work together for the common good of our community.”

Advance tickets for the event will be available in March from local restaurants and United Way agencies.
