My Bank/First United
again Sponsors the 22nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament
On behalf of My Bank First United, we
are pleased to announce that the Twenty-second Annual Charity Golf
Tournament will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010, at the Oakland Golf
Club, Inc. Over the past twenty-one years, this event has raised over
$329,844 for Garrett County charities. This year the recipient of
the tournament proceeds will be United Way of Garrett County.
Established in January 2000, United Way of Garrett County provides much
needed funds to area charities. United Way of Garrett County is a
non-profit organization that relies solely on contributions for its
funding. All funds are used exclusively for programming within Garrett
County.

To promote the speed of play, we are
limiting the field to the first 36 teams to return the enclosed entry
forms.
United Way of Garrett County Annual
Meeting
The 2009 annual
meeting of the United Way of Garrett County was held on Wednesday, July
8, 2009 at Perkins Restaurant, McHenry.
Donors and Community Partners (agencies) of the United Way of Garrett County
also attended the business meeting. Ernie Gregg, chair of the
United Way of Garrett County reviewed activities of the past year,
the recently completed campaign, election of new members to the Executive
Committee, and adoption of bylaw amendments. Questions regarding the

Food, Foolishness and Fun" Event
On March 31st, the "Food,
Foolishness and Fun" Event was held at St. Peter Apostle parish hall and a
great pasta dinner was had by all in attendance. The event raised over
$2,700 for the United Way community campaign and an additional $1,015 that
went directly to community agencies through ticket sales and tips. Please click on the

United Way Campaign
The 2008 - 2009 United Way
Campaign ended on April 30, 2009 and was a resounding success! Over $112,000 was pledged
against a goal of $110,000. Many thanks to all who participated
in the drive and especially to those who made pledges to help our county
residents. |
